Artist's Comments

One of my few people pictures. I usually desaturate my B&W scans to make them fully B&W, but I decided to leave this one because I thought it added something.

The model is a friend of mine from school. When she gets stressed out, she sits down at a piano and just starts playing. Nothing in particular, usually nothing at all, she just makes it up as she goes. Sometimes she sings with it too. This was a tough day for her, so we went into the auditorium at school and she sat down and played herself out for an hour or two. It's kind of a little bit of a cliche shot, but I think I put my own spin on it. : P

Traditional B&W film on glossy surface, vc, fiber base Ilford paper.

Edits on scanning: dust and frame.

Sorry to those who watch me. I know I'm filling up message centers today. -___-

wow I love the darkness, very beautiful. pitty it is so blurry but the focus is really interesting + the details. i'd try it b&w though, it might get even more beautiful :nod: i love pianos, they're amazing. i wish I could do some shots on them =(

Cliche or not.. your description makes it stand out so much because it has heaps of understanding in it.. you friend does the exact same thing as I do.. there are so many times when I feel the only that won't leave me is my music.
